This tool calculates your personal Kua Number and displays detailed information about your four auspicious and four inauspicious directions with practical application tips.

🏯 文化背景 (Cultural Background)

八宅风水（Ba Zhai）是中国最古老的风水流派之一，由唐代僧人一行禅师创立。该体系根据出生年份和性别将每个人归入"东四命"或"西四命"，并由此推导出个人的八个方位吉凶。

Eight Mansions Feng Shui (Ba Zhai) is one of the oldest Feng Shui schools, attributed to the Tang Dynasty monk Yi Xing. The system assigns each person to an "East Life" or "West Life" group based on birth year and gender, deriving the auspiciousness of eight compass directions.

命卦数字1-9（5除外，男命归2、女命归8）各对应一种卦象和五行：1为坎水、2为坤土、3为震雷、4为巽风、6为乾金、7为兑泽、8为艮山、9为离火。东四命（1、3、4、9）和西四命（2、6、7、8）各有其最佳方位组合。这一系统至今仍是风水实践中最广泛使用的基础方法之一。

Kua numbers 1–9 (excluding 5, which maps to 2 for males and 8 for females) each correspond to a trigram and element: 1=Kan Water, 2=Kun Earth, 3=Zhen Thunder, 4=Xun Wind, 6=Qian Metal, 7=Dui Lake, 8=Gen Mountain, 9=Li Fire. East Life (1,3,4,9) and West Life (2,6,7,8) each have their optimal direction combinations. This remains one of the most widely used foundational methods in Feng Shui practice.
